A very traditional bento for tomorrow, Japanese three-coloured rice (sanshoku-gohan). It’s easy to make and looks great, so I’ve been aching to make one for a while. I had this vision of using pink tofu for it, but I didn’t know what to colour it with - but then I had red food colour left [...]

The BF ordered more of that delicious chard and feta strudel, so I was happy to oblige.
Other than that, the box contains Maché salad, a red easter egg and a cut-up slice of Osterpinze with grandma’s homemade apricot marmelade.

Ooh, do I ever have a backlog from stuff I did this weekend. Expect some spam today!
On Saturday, I attempted to make a traditional Austrian easter bun, called Osterpinze. It’s a soft, sweet yeastdough bun that’s usually presented with a dyed easter egg baked into the middle.

Top layer: Pan di Stelle cookies, grapes, more corncob flowers, a soy fishie and scrambled egg with grape tomatoes, red bell pepper, mushrooms and spring onions.
I was feeling uninspired today, but I had the corn flowers left over from last night’s dinner [...]

You know you're addicted to bentoing when you get a new box just to show off your new tools…

HK box: Fried vegetable rice with an omelette chick, and sweetnsour sauce in an extra container because I'm not such a fan of ketchup.
Breakfast/Predish: All the ingredients for a miso soup in the upper tier of my [...]

I really should prepare more the night before… making bento in the morning is a horror ._.
Well, it’s not. It actually gets me to get up earlier and not after 10 snoozes of the alarm. But I’m usually late because I spend so much time arranging!

*hides [...]
